PURPOSE OF THE BLOG

Assalamualaikum. This blog was created due to assignment purpose. The title that I have choose is Information and Communication Technology. This title need me to find various of sources because it have wide information and it is very useful to readers. This blog allow readers to know something that they might don't know before. They can gain knowledge about many things about information and communication technology. They will learn about human communicate through technology in the very early years, what types of gadgets that people been use before and they can see how it looks like based on the picture that have provided in this blog. FINALLY, It's a wrap!

Alhamdulillah syukur, I've done the task.

Basically, I'm doing this task for my assignment purpose. I put many sources and picture in it and i doing it mostly in a formal way. I might have done so many mistakes and inconvenient in my entries but somehow i hope readers will have some good experience reading my blog and they can gain some information. WI-FI

WiFi stands for Wireless Fidelity. WiFi is a way to connect to the Internet, either to other computers or to other WiFi user devices (such as high-end mobile phone), without the need to physically connect a cable between two computers / devices. By working WiFi wireless application solutions to become cheaper from implementing network solutions with conventional cable internet. 

WiFi advantages do not stop 'wirelessness' only. WiFi set using Dynamic IP, so if you do not know the IP of the server in a location, your laptop can still access the internet via a server at the location in question.

Useful things about Wi-Fi

1- You can access the Internet, transfer files, print from anywhere within 100 meters of the Access Point WiFi.

2- Mengurangi cable and cable clutter behind the Desktop / Notebook

3- If you set up a new office, you can reduce the cost of IT by implementing WiFi setup -You can save wiring costs and expenses on a network socket 

4- Socket Cable networks tend to deteriorate over time, while the WiFi does not have this disadvantage

GOOGLE TV

Google TV is a Smart TV platform from Google first announced on May 10, 2010 at the launch of Google TV, developed in conjunction with several hardware manufacturers such as Intel, Sony, and Logitech. Then growing up creates a combined system Android Linux version of Google's Chrome and Adobe Flash 10.1 so that it looks more interactive. So, Google TV is a television system that combines the internet in a collaboration system. So, we can see television as well as internet access. Yay!

In order to access Google TV,  we must have a device connected to the TV special that Google Box that can allow us to be able to access the web and download applications. Google TV is built with open source basis ie Android and Chrome. Android phone and iPhone also can be used as a remote control for Google TV and if do not use mobile phones are also available controller. 

Google TV in the many services we enjoy like web access, download video, music, and we can see a variety of tv channels, other than that ... we can access various social networks such as facebook, twitter, etc. Google TV is equipped with the "search" where we  find video, tv channels, and also a variety of applications that we want. Various features available are Netflix,  Amazon on Demand, Napster, Google Chrome, Twitter, Facebook, NBA Game time, etc. Just simply type what we were looking for GoogleTV will find it.

Are you still remember of apple bells-whistles from the launch of their new product. Of course this is only felt by fans. And what about those who are not fans with? yes ... just know that the development of technology to where? Apple introduced their new products in the event 09-09-2014 yesterday. IPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch has been prepared in transshipped in the near future.

Apple watch is the product of apple smart watch. The device was rumored iWatch name was introduced on 09-09-2014 and ready for the market in early 2015. The product is similar to other wearable products that are first rolled in like the Jawbone Up, Nike + FuelBand, Fitbit, galaxy gear, Moto 360 and other.

The first computer was invented, it has not been able to communicate with each other. At that time the computer is very simple. Thanks to technological advances in the field of electronics, computers began to grow rapidly and is increasingly felt in our lives. Currently, computers are mushrooming everywhere. Computers not only monopolized by companies, universities or other institutions, but now computers can be held personally like we have a radio.

The term information technology became popular at the end of the 70s. At the time of the previous term called information technology or computer technology in electronic data processing (electronic data processing). Education

ICT is Information and Communication Technologies or commonly known as ICT (Information and Communication Technology). ICT is mecakup 2 technology, information technology related to process, use as a tool, manipulation, and management of information. While communication technology is everything d with the use of tools to process and transfer data from one device to another.

The role of ICT in education has a tremendous influence. System multimedia-based learning (technology involving text, images, voice, and video) to make the presentation of a topic to be interesting, not monotonous and easy to digest. A pupil or student can learn certain material standalone computers equipped with multimedia-based program. 

In addition, with the advent of the internet makes it easy to find, create, and help resolve all matters related to the task very easily and quickly. In fact not only among students and pupils in schools that use but society also participated in the use of internet. The role and strategic importance of this as a learning center, a cultural center, and center of civilization requires educational institutions to develop clear learning activity and broad coverage. 

Search by UNESCO (2013), there are five benefits which can be achieved through the application of ICT in the education system:

1. simplify and expand access to education

2. improve educational equality (equity in education)

3. improve the quality of learning (the delivery of quality learning and teaching)

Laptop

Laptop? Who can guess the exact time or the real person who has been the first person created laptop? There are several great people such as Alan Kay, Adam Osborne and Bill Moggridge.

The Osborn 1 is the name of the first laptop computer, well known as laptop by Adam Osborne. He has his own company named Osborne Computer Cooperation. The first laptop has microprocessor, portable and full featured computer was released in 1981. Osborne 1 might seem heavier compared to what we have in 21st century. Plus it has tine screen but this laptop is useful to all business man and professional because it help them to keep all the data for the first time.

These are part of operational computer system.

1- Two built in floppy drives (91k of data) 

2- Floppy disk storage compartments

3- Full-size keyboard plus number keypad

4- Built in, albeit small and monochrome CRT monitor

5- It has CP/M Operating System.

The invention of Osborne 1, introduces us to Powerbook and Macintosh portable. These two laptops were presented by Apple Computer.

Headphones

Information and communication technology has brought us to feel the experience of using headphones. As we can see nowadays, young people usually wearing headphones wherever they go. The thing seemed to be their new accessories. We can find many types, many brands and many colors of headphones that attract buyers to have at least 1! But, do we know when headphones were existed? Who created headphones? 

And what is headphones looks like in the early years? Let us go deeper!

Headphone has given many benefits to us. It can be as our entertainment equipment as we can listen to the songs without distracts anyone from doing their activity. Plus, headphones play an important role in career such as DJ and radio speaker. 

Back to the first creation of headphone in 1881, headphones are only being used by telephone operators. It doesn't related much to music plus it was a particular earpiece that user have to put on their shoulder that weighed about 10 pounds. How it looks like? We are moving to 1890 - 1930 where headphone has inventions. The stick beats were existed after the presence of Electrophone that was made-up in Britain over 1890s. This type of headphone allowed listener to hear a very big sound on a stage miles away. They are connected to a live performance even though they are not there. The headphones that are similar to stethoscopes are very famous and become a trend in those early years.

Later than, there is Ernest Mercadier, a French engineer who created the very first in-ear headphone during 1891. He also granted a patent for his creation. The in-ear headphones are being used by telephonist. 

Years by years, great people are determined to create more invention towards headphone. In 1910 - 1950, Nathaniel Baldwin invented the first pair of modern headphone just on his kitchen table. How great is that? Plus, a private investor has agreed to buy more that 100 pairs of the particular headphone and made Ernest Mercadier became a rich man in a blink of an eye but somehow Mercadier doesn't came out with an idea to patented it.

And to the present years the phenomena of Beats by Dr. Dre has become widely known all over the world. Beats by Dr. Dre can reached for about 1000 per headphones.

Smartphones

Smartphones is one of information and communication technology that have a widely invention nowadays. What is smartphones? Basically smartphone is a cellular telephone with functions of a computer and various features. Smartphones are usually touch screen interface, operation system that allows downloaded apps to be included and they have internet access. 

The function of smartphones are similar to personal computer where smartphones provide information, calls, email sending and internet access.

The Inventions and Creations of Alexander Graham Bell

VIBRAPHONE

The success with Thomas Watson leads Alexander Graham Bell makes a first prototype of Vibraphone in 1875. The appliances is activated by using mobile a metal strip that a closer to those of the clarinet. Later in March in the following year, Bell decided to improve the quality of the vibraphones by renewal the strip and put a wire plunged in a container filled of water and acid. The water and acid makes a module that intense of the current in the wire in a way corresponding to the sound waves of the atmosphere.

PHOTOPHONE

Another creations and inventions of Alexander Graham Bell is Photophone. With the helped of Charles Sumner Tainter, Bell has invented the photophone and he grabbed the opportunity to introduce it to Meudon Observatory. The advances of the photophone are it can produce and reproduce the sound by using the equity of selenium and different with the transmission of pictures. Bell produced the photophone by set up the Volta Laboratory by using the Volta Prize of 50, 000 francs by the French Government for the invention of the electric speaking telephone in 1880.

Alexander's Experiments

In 1871, Alexander moved to Boston. Why? Because he began to work on a device that allow several messages set to different frequencies in the telegraph transmission. From 1873 until 1874, Alexander put tremendous efforts in a long days and night trying to get the harmonic telegraph. 

 

In the between years, he developed an idea of transmitting the human voice over wires. 

The changes of the Bell’s new idea have disappointing Alexander's supporters and Thomas Watson. Thomas Watson is a talented electrician and he was assigned to refocus Bell on the harmonic telegraph again. 

Later, Watson enchanted to the idea of voice transmission they have a great partnership.

In the following years, Bell experimented on how to detect metal in wounds and with a vacuum-jacket respirator that led to the development of the iron lung.

In 1874 and the following years, Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Watson put together the harmonic telegraph and the voice transmitting device. The values of voice transmission experiments attract the investors and the idea has filed a patent.

Finally on March 10, 1876, they were successful. The famous and meaningful sentence, "Mr. Watson, come here. I want you!" is the explanation of Bell is able to hear a noise over the wire and so do Watson. They received the first telephone call.

The Achievements of Alexander Graham Bell

Alexander Graham Bell is capable to boost the careers of other scientist by using the wealth from the telephone achievement. Bell founded the National Geographic Society, the premier American scientific journal. 

While continuing experiments in science, Bell is helping the deaf, and he convincing their integration into society. Alexander was successfully founded his own corporation named Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf.

Another success of Alexander Graham Bell is, his telephone was promoted in a series of public demonstration in 1876, at the Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia.

Later on July 9, 1877, The Bell Telephone Company was established.

Personal information about Alexander Graham Bell

Who didn't know about one of the founder of telephone, a well known Alexander Graham Bell was born on March 3, 1847 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Through numerous experiments in sound and worked at a school for the deaf make his education was hugely received. On March 1876, he was acknowledged the first official patent for his telephone despite he had through years of challeges to his claim that he was the only one creator.

Alexander Graham Bell pursued his passion in scientific work until the rest of his life and he use the success of his own efforts to install many research centers nationwide. Bell died on August 2, 1922 in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. 

He was educated at University of London. He was studied under his grandfather. Bell thought elocution and by using the methods of his father, he is a speech teacher for deaf student in England. Alexander was moved to Canada with his parents in 1870. 
                 

In 1872, he entrenched a school for the deaf in Massachusetts and Boston. For the next year, Alexander Graham Bell became a professor in speech and vocal physiology at Boston University. Bell continue doing experiments while teaching. He conduct a several telegraph messages together in one single wire. Plus, a various devices in order to help the deaf to speak by including the graphically recording sound waves.  

Bell explained that, "if i could make a current of electricity vary in intensity precisely as the air varies in density during the production of sound, I should be able to transmit speech telegraphically". Later in 1874, he has formed a new idea of telephone. His application for a patent was granted on March 7, 1876.

History of Technology

Technology has become a need in human life. We need technology to switch on the lights, to heat the water, and obviously we need technology to give us better lifestyles. Everything needs technology. But, do we have ever wondered or look back at the history of technology? The history of human technology begins with the finding on how to give a stone cutting edge. Basically, technology is the invention of techniques and tools in order to make and do things much easier. "Technology" is a combination of the Greek techne which means art and craft.

    

In 17th century, technology it was only used to mention a discussion of the applied arts. The term has growing fields of meaning, processes and ideas in extension to tools and machines in 20th century. The knowledge gives the opportunity to human to create their own creations; new things and technology allow people to reach something that impossible to be reached. Technology has affected by a society's cultural traditions and it gives new changes in economic, political and military power. Human nowadays has been exposed to many terms of technology such as travel technology, information and communication technology.

The history of technology is mostly about invention and adapting to change. Another meaning of technology is human have to create and control their environment in order for them to survive and have a comfortable life. Since ancient times, people have develop many ways to go out from their place, to find a way to build their lodgings and way to keep all the knowledge that they have learned. In order to that, technology gave human many advances in terms of health, devices, and others scientific mechanism such as telescope and microscope.

The past years, human use wood fires to keep their body warm. Hand-operated activities build pyramids and cities in the ancient times. Plus, they use wind drove sailing-ship and later they use windmills. They found a new power sources such as electricity, coal and steam, oil and gas. Human in the past years, they use horses and other animals as transportation but after the invention of steam engine, they use steamboats and steam locomotives, making a great antiquated carriage. Furthermore, technology introduces human to gasoline that powered automobiles and airplanes.

In terms of communication, early humans are only communicating by talking and gesturing. From that,, they create languages. Some prehistoric people vomit their experiences and expression by drawing on rock and painting in the cave. Meanwhile, writing offer them literature and philosophy. But then, books were only handwritten as manuscripts until the invention of printing were existed in 19400s. Telegraph, telephone and radio are part of technological achievement in communication over long distances.

Brief information about Information and Communication Technology

Communication technology is called as the activity of constructing, designing and maintaining communication system.  Information and communication technology is a way to provide communication application and devices such as radio, television, cell phones, computer and many more. In these devices, there are many services and applications included. ICTs lie more in the ability to form a great key to information and communication in a place that is less populations.

People nowadays go all up to have better living conditions, to find their identities and obviously to survive. Young people, senior citizens even the kids are being exposed to communicate not by face to face. They are incomplete without their gadgets. More than 800 million adults are lack of literacy skills but on the other side, the use of information and communication technology is vault up. ICT are giving a huge transformation in human’s life and playing an important role in young people's lives and society. The generation of technologies are causing speedy transformations in all aspects of life.
